Great food, relax place to go on a date or eat with friends or family. Service is 5 star service!
Friendly staffs. It was a Malaysian place before, but now seems to have changed owner or to Asian fusion. The food is okay. Could be better. We had a big group of 12 and mixed reviews. They definitely need to pay attention to fry foods, it loses the taste of the ingredients. Overall it's okay spot to hangout for a shared meal
I was in the mood for hainese chicken and this place was near my folks. I ordered 3 things, the chicken, some beef skewers, and a beef and broccoli. When I got there to pickup they tried to call me to tell me they weren't ready yet, but I never updated my number. They were nice, offered me a seat and a drink while I wait. The chicken was good, but the red sauce that normally comes with it is thicker than the typical red sauce, and the soy sauce didnt have enough taste. The chicken itself was good, but then again it was made fresh. Skewers were good, beef and broccoli is hard to mess up. Will go back if I'm in the neighborhood, but wont make the trek just to eat here. I am curious about the rest of the menu, they seem to have everything asian in one location.
This review is for a takeout order. This is one of the only spots that open late on the 86st strip on a Friday night. The hainanese chicken rice and chicken satay skewers were both good. For a place that does so many different cuisines (Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Japanese) the sushi was decent as well - comparable to the other 86st sushi spots.
I recently had a simple dinner at a Malaysian restaurant. While the roti was a bit oily and thick, the Hainanese chicken stole the show with its perfection. The beef and chicken with sauce were just the right size for snacking, offering a satisfying experience. Overall, a mix of hits and misses, but the standout dishes made it a worthwhile visit.
Service - 5 Food - 5 Clean - 5 Music - 5 (European radio) Loudness - good, able to talk
Came here when they first open. Place is the same as the restaurant before but newer. Ordered tom yum noodle soup and seafood fried ho fun. Both were pretty good. Service was good. Their malaysian hot sauce was a little basic for me. Didn't have that kick I was looking for. But willing to try again.
Honestly this is my favorite place to get my craving fix. Came here twice with my mom and friends. They give awesome customer service and are really quick with bringing out our orders. I really enjoyed their Hainanese chicken 5/5; the meat is so soft and soo yummy. I would definitely get this again! Spicy Kani salad; 5/5; light and refreshing. It's not spicy at all since it's spicy Mayo mixed together. Service; 5/5- nice and attentive. They always gave what we wanted and refilled our teas. Overall, would come back here again. They accept cash & card.
Clean and cozy place. Staff is friendly and attentive but not overwhelming Everything was so fresh and delicious. We wanted a light dinner so shared 2 appetizers and some rolls between 2 people. Wasabi crackers- get 'em! I was tempted to order another round. Salmon Storm- so fresh and innovative. Sushi rolls were just fresh and delicious. Good proportions on all the ingredients. If I'm ever back in this area, will Definetly stop by again.
This is one of two restaurants in the lower Brooklyn area that offer Malaysian food. It is located directly on 86th street with the infamous elevated train made famous in the intro screen of Saturday Night Fever - with John Travolta doing his signature walk. Sedapsss is located right off 86th and 23rd and it boasts a mix menu of Malaysian, Thai and Japanese food with Hawaiian Poke thrown in. We ordered the Chicken Curry Nasi Lemak and the Mee Siam. Both were very flavorful and because of that we also ordered The Hainan Chicken Rice, Chicken Satay and Roti Canai to go! In all it was a very good meal. The restaurant was well decorated and the service top notch. We will definitely be coming back here again!
